New 4-TEC 3.0 Hot rod chassis
The 4-Tec 3.0 chassis wheelbase is extended to 300mm and outfitted with ultra low-profile suspension. This allows for highly accurate, deep-cut body lines and exacting proportions throughout both models. The rigid modular platform delivers ultimate steering precision and nearly infinite tuning potential. No classic hot rod ever handled this well.

Factory lighting
Factory-installed LED lighting adds another layer of scale detail to the sculpted Hot Rod bodies. Brilliant white LEDs illuminate the headlight housings to lead the way with red tail light lenses for the competition as you blow past them. Naturally everything’s waterproof to keep the fun going, regardless of weather conditions.

Clipless front body mount
The Hot Rod preserve their flowing lines without the use of front body clips. A reinforced latch mounts securely to the front shock tower for quick and easy body removal.

Display-grade detail
The flowing lines of the '33 Coupe and '35 Pickup draw pleny of attention, but it's the extra details that put them over the top. Injection-molded chrome grilles dazzle in the sunlight along with bright chrome side mirrors and detailed headlight housings. Custom graphics finish off the package for a look that's ready to cruise the boulevard.

All-wheel drive
A highly efficient shaft driven all-wheel drive system rides on sealed bearings and provides maximum acceleration and responsiveness.

Modular simplicity
Rigid Traxxas modular design utilizes three precision engineered modules to provide unprecedented stiffness and tight tolerances.

Adjustable battery hold down
A quick-release, dual-height battery mount accomodates a wide range of batteries including long format NiMH and LiPo battery packs.

2.1" Salt flat-style wheels
Highly-detailed matte black wheels with chrome rings give the Hot Rods a menacing look. The larger 2.1" diameter wheels and high-performance rubber provide improved stability and handling. The rear tires are also wider than the fronts for that classic hot rod stance.

+45 km/h titan power
High-torque and Traxxas tough, the Titan 550 motor and XL-5 speed control give the Hot Rods powerful acceleration on the way to +45 km/h. Just starting out? Activate training mode to cut speed and power by 50%.

Precision 2.4GHz radio system
With the TQ 2.4GHz radio system, you just swith it on and drive. There are no channels or frequencies to manage, so the focus is on having fun. The TQ's ergonomic design is comfortable for all-day driving, and its sleek lines are enhanced by an internal antenna that is impervious to damage.

Classic ProGraphix body
When you're cruising down the boulevard, speed may be king, but style reigns supreme. The Traxxas Hot Rods deliver outrageous good looks with deep lustrous paint, wild graphics, and gleaming chrome accents to match their blistering performance.

High performance suspension
The 4-Tec's high tech suspension features bosses molded into the arms to adjust droop. Suspension droop is the amount of downward travel on the wheels. Droop adjustment allows the 4-Tec 3.0 to be tuned for better stability in the corners.

Hex hardware
The 4-Tec 3.0 uses pro-quality, high-grade, metric hex-drive hardware throughout for extra strength and easy maintenance and repair. The black-oxide rust-resistant finish provides a high tech look and feel.
Oil-filled GTR shocks
Low-profile GTR shocks provide the ultimate combination of performance and scale accurate appearance. Features include pressure bladders for air/oil separation and threaded bodies for precise ride height and preload adjustment.

Integrated servo saver
Conventional servo savers earned a reputation for sloppy steering in on-road cars. The 4-Tec 3.0 incorporates the servo saver into the horn for precise and responsive handling in all situations. An integrated collar allows the spring tension to be adjusted for personalized settings or track conditions.

High-torque waterproof steering servo
A high-performance hot rod needs a powerul steering servo for responsive performance, and Traxxas delivers with the 2075 high-torque servo. This waterproof steering servo uses O-ring seals to keep the fun going when things get wet. Waterproof for all-weather action, the 2075 provides 125oz-in of steering muscle.

Molded wire retainer
A simple wire clip would look out of place with this high tech chassis. Traxxas engineers designed a trick molded wire retainer to keep wiring secured safely out of the way.

High-current connector
The Traxxas ID connector funnels maximum power from your battery to the 4-Tec's electronics. This innovative connector also enables your ID-equipped charger and battery to communicate. This ensures optimum charge settings specific to your battery for quicker, safer, more complete charging and extended battery life.

Fixed gear mesh system
Setting the perfect gear mesh can be a complicated and arduous process. Traxxas eliminates the hassle with its innovative fixed positioning system. Use the convenient chart included in the user manual to select the proper hole for your pinion gear.

Rubber-sealed ball bearings
Precise rubber-sealed bearings offer super low-friction performance and maximum protection in dusty environments. The virtually maintenance free bearings are used in all exposed locations on the car.
One-piece driveshafts
One-piece steel driveshafts save weight and send power directly to the wheels for lightning quick response times. Extended drive cups allow for maximum articulation and ultimate durability.

Steel center driveshaft
4-Tec 3.0 distributes power to all four wheels through a one-piece center driveshaft. There are no dogbones to wear and no drive cups to wobble. The steel driveshaft runs straight and true with a center supports bearing to handle the high RPM of Velineon brushless upgrades.
Proven sealed differentials
The 4-Tec 3.0 chassis features the same sealed, beveled-gear differential in the front and rear as the ultra-rugged Slash 4x4. Tune the performance by varying the viscosity of the fluid inside.
