This is the communication we recently received from GoPro :

"We would like to inform you about a returning problem we recently found on multiple GoPros we had for warranty demands:

The GoPro gets stuck, crashes or gets hot while recording : In many cases the source of the problem was the micro SD card.

We discovered that Sandisk Ultra cards were often the source of the problems found, other cards as well (Kingston cards for example). This issue was mostly found on GoPro Session and Hero+LCD types. This is a writing speed problem on the micro SD cards. The Sandisk Ultra are not on GoPro's list of recommended Micro SD cards.
